Status: Complete.
Role: design and project architect

Best Farming Systems is an Edmonton based company that produces a variety of soil and crop products that aid in the processes of soil rejuvination, seed germination, fertilization and the recycle of plant nutrients back to the soil. This project is their first foray into publicly retailing their own products in their own building, starting in Camrose Alberta. Not only will this little facility store and showcase their products, it will also provide a small outdoor market area where local farmers can come back to share and celebrate the literal 'fruits' of their labours.

Station Pointe
Edmonton, Alberta
(with Hartwig Architecture)

Status: In development
Role: design and project architect

This is a large 219 unit mixed residential and retail development in Edmonton, and a unique project in many ways... For one, it is slated to become the first multi-residential 'Passive House' design in Edmonton, with a focus on a high performance building envelope that will ensure 80-90% energy savings over conventional Canadian construction standards. Much of the overall design has been strategised to further this and other sustainable features such as the biological water treatment facility, that operates to recycle used water
toward on site reuse - such as watering the extensive green spaces provided over the development. Offering a range of housing types, community, and commercial spaces, the project also offers a lot of added social diversity to the neighborhood, with the expectation this should have a spin-off effect on diversity of the local economy.

This as a small maintenance building we did for the Capital Wind Farm project in Tumbler Ridge BC.
